1. In order to promote the spirit of care
and love for animals, to enhance the technical standard, and
to increase the skills of a pet groomer, we have developed
these regulations.
2. Evaluation of grooming skill shall be done by the Evaluation
Committee appointed by the Examination Board.
3. The Evaluation Committee is empowered as follows:
· Accept application for evaluation
· Implement the method of evaluation
· Prepare examination questions, and define scoring and passing
standard
· Notification of evaluation result
· Determine and execute other matters pertaining to thereof.
4. Skill evaluation shall be performed by the following two
formats:
· Group evaluation
· Individual evaluation
5. Evaluation shall be divided into two parts of practical
and theory. Evaluation shall be performed at least once a
year, details of arrangement shall be determined as the case
may be.
6. Only NASA members shall be evaluated.
7. Qualification is divided into the following classes: Basic
groomer, C class groomer, B class groomer, A class groomer,
Instructor.
8. In addition, with good personal ethics and a good professional
records, an individual can be awarded with following titles:

Basic Groomer:
Graduated from a grooming school authorized by NASA with a
passing score.
C class Groomer:
Graduated from a grooming school authorized by NASA with a
passing score.
With over one year of grooming practical experiences and also
able to present proof that he/she had actually continually
self educate and tested with passing score.
B class Groomer:
One who is a qualified C class Groomer of NASA for more than
a year, with good ethics, and practical experiences. Must
pass the B class Groomer examination.
One who is a qualified C class Groomer of NASA, with good
ethics, and continued to study in a grooming school authorized
by NASA for more than a year. Graduated from school and passed
the B class Groomer examination.
A NASA C class Groomer, with good ethics, participated in
NASA grooming competition and awarded more than 3 times with
excellence (place no. 1).
One who trained by other professional training organization
or association, with good ethics, and confirmed with the required
qualification.
A class Groomer:
One who is a qualified B class Groomer of NASA for more than
two years, with good ethics, and practical experiences?
One who is a qualified B class Groomer of NASA, with good
ethics, and continued to study in a grooming school authorized
by NASA for more than a year and graduated from the school.
A NASA B class Groomer, with good ethics, participated in
NASA grooming competition and awarded more than 3 times with
excellence (place no. 1).
One who trained by other professional training organization
or association, with good ethics, and confirmed with the required
qualification.
Grooming Instructor:
As determined by the Examination Board, a Grooming Instructor
is given to a NASA A class groomer who has exceptional contribution
and/or continued service to the grooming industry.

9. How to apply: For various classes of evaluation, one must
present the following documents together with application
fee for evaluation:
i. Application for receiving evaluation.
ii. Pet grooming training organization graduation certification.
10. To those who had passed evaluation, NASA will issue a
Certificate of Qualification. After acquiring various classes
of groomers, one must continue to remain NASA members. Otherwise,
one can not apply for class promotion examination.
11. After acquiring class title, one must take a GAT of NASA
at least once a year to maintain and confirm ones grooming
technique in accordance with NASA standard. A score will be
given to each entry in GAT, and accumulation of this score
would be an index of a student’s achievement. Accumulated
scores reaching a certain level can, with further approval
from the Evaluation Committee, promoted to higher class, and
furthermore obtain free advancement opportunity.
12. NASA recognizes the qualification of all other sister
organization. The fee for recognition is as follows:
i. Basic Groomer Certificate HK$300
ii. C class Groomer Certificate HK$300
iii. B class Groomer Certificate HK$500
iv. A class Groomer Certificate HK$1,000
v. Grooming Instructor Certificate HK$2,000
vi. Reissuing of various Certificate HK$300
13. Any member loosing his/her qualification, NASA reserve
the right to reclaim its Certificate issued to the subject.
14. In case of any doubt or ambiguity in the rules and regulations,
NASA’s Evaluation Committee interpretation shall be final.
The same in case of any revision or amendment.
15. This rules and regulations were passed and announced by
the Standing Committee.
